Gibson Explorer Antique Natural

£1,695.00

Available now is this beautiful 2020 Gibson Explorer, finished in this gorgeous antique natural colour and a gloss nitrocellulose finish. This guitar was made during June of 2020 and only has one owner from new. It does have a few blemishes and minor surface scratches on the back of the guitar, notably around the edges as shown in the photos but they are all cosmetic and have absolutely no effect on playability!  The Explorer -  originally introduced in 1958 as a response to Fender’s at the time futuristic designs. It was a dismal first launch being ahead of its time and was revived during the mid 70’s as hard rock and metal emerged! Played by legends like James Hetfield & Dave Grohl.

Spec wise, you get a solid mahogany body and a mahogany set neck with a rosewood fingerboard with a 60’s slim taper profile and the classic hockey stock style headstock. The solid mahogany body offers a resonant, warm, sustain heavy tones! Pair with the 60’s slim taper neck which is arguably Gibson’s best neck shape providing comfortability and speed.

It is equipped with Gibson USA burstbuckers, a burstbucker 2 in the neck and a 3 in the bridge,  the neck providing a warm and pleasing bite and great distortion when overdriven with and the bridge pickup being able to take it step further being slightly overwound which gives some extra punch and power. It also comes with chrome hardware and the original white pickguard and a beautiful original molded hardcase.

This guitar has been set up with ernie ball 10 gauge strings and plays well with low action and no buzz. It is in great condition as shown in the photos above. This guitar is perfect for aspiring guitarists to seasoned professionals who are looking for a lovely instrument!

Amazing opportunity to pick up a killer looking and sounding guitar, any questions please just let me know!
