Available now is this beautiful 2024 Gibson Les Paul Standard ‘50s, finished in custom colour sparkling burgundy which looks super cool and moves and sparkles in the light. This guitar was made in the Nashville factory in late 2024 and has only had one owner from new, and has only been out of the case a handful of times. It remains therefore in amazing condition, with only 1 tiny blemish on the top stopping it from being mint, but this is nothing serious. This guitar is part of the Gibson Original Collection, designed to replicate the feel, and sound of the late 1950s Les Pauls from Gibson’s golden era, and this one does a very good job.
Spec wise, you get a solid mahogany body with a maple cap and a gloss nitro finish. It has the ‘50s neck profile which I would describe as medium to chunky but definitely not a bat, very similar to the ‘58-59 neck profiles. It also has a really nice dark rosewood fretboard, this is the darkest one I’ve seen for a while on a non custom shop guitar and it’s very nice.
It is equipped with Gibson USA burstbuckers, a burstbucker 1 in the neck and a 2 in the bridge and these sound great, providing a warm and pleasing bite and great distortion when overdriven. They sound a lot more vintage-correct like original PAFs than the 490R/T you get in other Les Pauls, Vintage Deluxe tuners and nickel hardware complete the premium look and feel.
Good comfortable weight of 4.0kg (which is considered light for non-weight relieved bodies!) and good sustain. Comes with original case as shown in photos.
This guitar has been set up with ernie ball 10 gauge strings and plays well with low action and no buzz. It is in great condition as shown in the photos above. This guitar is perfect for aspiring guitarists to seasoned professionals who are looking for a lovely instrument!
