Available now is this 1997 Fender Deluxe Powerhouse Stratocaster finished in timeless black, made in Fender's Ensenada Mexico factory. The powerhouse line up from Fender is great value for money and often there are no noticeable differences from their American made counterparts and it comes with a unique 12 db midboost circuit and paired with the powerhouse pickup system for more tonal options! These upgrades are basically the same ones that are on the Eric Clapton signature strat and that clapton had on his own guitar, and a way more accessible price point! Fender has never reissued this exact model since so these don’t come up for sale often.
This guitar sports a solid poplar body paired to a one piece maple neck and a modern “C” shape neck profile with rosewood fretboard. It has chrome hardware, a vintage 6 point Synchronized Tremolo and vintage fender tuning machines.
Electrics wise, It is fitted with a trio powerhouse ultra-quiet single coil pickups in SSS configuration with dummy coils under the pickguard which provides hum cancellation. These pickups produce that classic strat tone with it sounding snappy, bright and articulate with a sparkly top end, which with the active 12 db midboost circuit can also give it the dirty strat tone! It has the standard 5 way switching with 1 master volume, 1 master tone, 1 mid-boost control.
This guitar has been set up with ernie ball 10 gauge strings and plays well with low action and no buzz. It is in great condition as shown in the photos above.
