Available now is this 2015 Classic Series 60s Jazzmaster finished in this beautiful surf green, made in Fender's Ensenada Mexico factory. The Mexican line up from Fender is great value for money and often there are no noticeable differences from their American made counterparts. The classic series is made to replicate the sound and feel of vintage guitars!
This guitar sports a solid alder body with a gloss nitrocellose lacquer, a “C” maple neck with a rosewood fretboard. Comes with chrome hardware and the 6-Saddle Vintage-Style Adjustable with “Floating” Tremolo Tailpiece synonymous with the jazzmaster.
Electrics wise, It is fitted with an American Vintage '65 soapbar single coil in the neck and a Pure Vintage '65 soapbar single coil in the bridge position. These pickups are very versatile, they produce a bright, jangly, and articulate tone. The bridge being bright and punchy and the neck being warm and mellow without being muddy!
Controls wise, there are 2 circuits - the lead and rhythm, which is controlled by the upper horn switch. When in the down position it is in the lead circuit, which uses the lower controls, 3 way toggle switch for pickups, 1 master volume and 1 master tone. When in the up position it is in the rhythm circuit which uses the horn controls and only engages the neck pickup, it is controlled by 2 thumbwheels, top one to control volume and bottom to control tone. These controls are what gives this guitar endless tonal configurations and unlimited ways to express your creativity!
This guitar has been set up with ernie ball 10 gauge strings and plays well with low action and no buzz. It is in great condition as shown in the photos above with only some surface wear and one blemish to back as shown.
